Place Dauphine

Following the sun, we walked from Notre Dame along the northern edge of Ile de la Cite (Quai de l'Horloge). There, just before reaching the Pont Neuf, we turned left down Rue de Hartley. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the center of Paris is the Place Dauphine; a quiet, little-frequented garden. Although in the heart of Paris, one feels a million miles away. And just before we come to the Pont Neuf, we stop in for wine and cheese at the Henri IV. Sipping the expertly picked special of the day, we wait as the sun slides towards the horizon...
