Subway Descent
Blurred into obscurity, this is a picture of the long
escalators to the Moscow subways. Known for their
depth, the subway stations would have 4 escalators,
filled to the brim, feeding people up and down.
Often, there was a person at the bottom of the
escalator who spent all day making comments
broadcast to the captive audience over loudspeakers.
Once, when I asked what the person was saying, I
was told that she was making fun of the way
someone was dressed.
Here the people are a blur, rushing off to their next
Destination faster than my camera's shutter speed.
