Quiet Side

This side of the table was relatively quiet. Dad wasn't dri nking, so I drank for him (the son's duty). At one point, when Dad thought he wasn't getting enough respect from the elderly ladies, he asked how old the villagers thought he was. They were shocked to find that he was the second oldest in the room (which earned him more respect). Dad said, "That's nothing. My son over there is 50 years old!" A woman down the table, who looked to be 70 stood up and said, "I'm 50, too!" I quickly pointed to my ring and said, "Already married!"
