An interesting benefit to the village because of the rebels was free electricity. If I understood correctly, the rebels exchanged NOT blowing up the power plant for free electricity for the villages in the valley.

Without having to pay for electricity, this power table saw made great economic sense and was launching a village furniture maker's career.

We visited to see how he was doing because he was Kathy's "nephew".
