I enjoyed seeing Kathy in her element: social butterfly,
wise elder, provider and provided for...
As we were preparing to leave the village, I asked Kathy to translate for me.
I talked with the village chief. I told him I knew how much responsibility it was
to take care of the village. I told him that it looked like he had done a good job, as I
saw the health of the village and the success of his son.
I thanked him for protecting and caring for my sister,
during all the years she had been welcomed by the village.
Back in Kathmandu, I talked with Suryaman about how I might be able to help ensure
the success of the village. I hope, some day soon, to be able to honor my commitment.
I'm just waiting for the word from Kathy...
