In the lot next to Cornell's, a house was being built. Here is the first concrete floor with the rebar waiting for the columns that will be poured, next. Then it's brick between the columns.

Every material for this house will be hand-carried on the backs of laborers: every sack of concrete, every piece of rebar, and every brick. Since all the buildings are made of brick, I could not believe how many bricks were being carried every day to building sites all over Kathmandu!
