Narrow Road
A large bus heads for us on a very narrow road with
steep sides and a long tumble down! Since we were
only a large car, this was a piece of cake. I was amazed
watching two busses pass each other on a road that
barely had room for one. Each bus inched forward, and
I mean inch by inch. At that speed, every inch of width
was put to good use. And I never saw or heard any
accidents.
Notice, too, the folks sitting in the balcony! One can
buy seats on the inside of the bus, or on the top. I am
told the best seats are the two front seats on the roof.
Several months after I returned home (October, 2006), I
read about a bus that went over the edge! Many of
those sitting on top survived. They saw the bus was
going to go over the edge, and jumped! Forty-two dead,
43 injured, 23 seriously injured.
