Laos

So much of what we saw was foreign to me. Meals in Laos is very similar to southern inland Chinese cooking. I was surprised how intolerant I was of the variety of texture in the dishes. I often found myself chewing on what was more like a piece of wood or bark. Nobody else was spitting it out, so I chewed and swallowed. Must be good fiber!
