Breakdown

The van got a flat tire. We stopped on the side of the road, not really off the road, but to the side, and tried to replace the flat tire.

While various numbers of people tried to figure out how to get the lugs off (they were stripped), the rest of us waited along the dusty edge of the road.

After trying many ideas, all the while with trucks and cars wizzing past us, Jordan and I suggested that we take the women and children in to town to get them off the road.
