Night Visit
This is the only picture I have of a visit in the evening
of Kao's mother's friend. Kao's mother died many
years ago, but this woman recounted the story of Kao
being given up by his mother and sister.
The story was very dramatic, and the friend wanted Kao
to know how hard it had been for his mother to give him
up. If his mother's life and Kao's had not depended on
it, she would never have given Kao up.
The elderly lady wanted Kao to know his mother had
loved him enough to give him up rather than have him
die.
