House of Blackheads, Riga

I hoofed over to the old center of Riga, a part of town that was very vibrant, newly renovated, geared towards tourists, and seemed quite economically healthy. The whole place felt a bit too much like Disneyland, though, as the buildings were being done up for the tourist trade.

I had fun walking through the narrow, winding streets that opened up on to large squares. There were many restaurants, many Scandinavians, and many tourist shops.
